Moroccan Ceramic Totem Candlesticks

Tamegroute Pottery, named after the town in southern Morocco where it is made, is created by artisans following ancient cultural practices. Our vendor’s family has been making it for their own kitchens in the desert for generations.

Each piece is uniquely crafted by hand and is an authentic piece of artwork - no two are the same. Imperfections are a part of the glazing process and unevenness is celebrated for its beauty.

The color and texture is a result of a potter's particular alchemy used. In this case, an alloy of magnesium, copper and silica is applied to white clay before it is baked in a 1200 degree kiln for four to five days to achieve the stunning green color.
