Pitate Tahitian Jasmine Oil

Why Shen Loves it: Created in the 1970's this MONOI uses the Jasmine flower as its fragrance. A small ivory petaled round flower, the Jasmine has a powerful fragrance and is THE STRONGEST of the MONOI fragrances. Known as Pikake in Hawaii, Pitate is the "Flower of Romance".

Monoï de Tahiti®, the sacred oil of the Polynesians, is much more than a natural personal care product. Obtained by macerating fresh Tiare Tahiti flowers (Gardenia Tahitensis) in refined Coconut oil from the coral beds (Cocos nucifera), it has softening, purifying and soothing properties.

Monoï de Tahiti® is used to protect, nourish and smooth the skin. This precious oil rapidly penetrates and moisturizes the upper layers of the epidermis. Monoï de Tahiti® also has repairing and conditioning properties, leaving the hair soft, supple and shiny.

Monoï de Tahiti® has obtained an Appellation of Origin. This stamp guarantees the quality of its manufacturing process and the selection and authenticity of its Polynesian ingredients.

Like all natural oils, Monoï de Tahiti becomes solid at a certain temperature. Below 24°/75° F, run hot tap water over the bottle and the oil liquefies again.

Shen Recommends:

On damp hair:  Pour a little oil into the palm of your hands, and apply to your hair and massage. Leave to settle for at least 15 minutes. Then wash your hair with a gentle shampoo. To be renewed ideally once a week.

On dry hair:  Apply a few drops to the ends of your hair for intense nourishment. Don’t rinse.

As after sun care:  Apply copiously on sun drenched skin, to the most exposed parts of the body (shoulders, chest, back…). The skin is softened and soothed.
